See you soon! !Nos Vemos Pronto! 20 marzo quarentena

Mis Queridos Halconcitos:
I write to you in English.
I hope this message finds you well and safe! I am excited to see you virtually soon. I have missed you all to pieces. I am looking at this new normal as a life lesson in re-learning, recalibrating and re-appreciating all of the little things in life. We will get through this TOGETHER!
We will control the controlable, and let what we can't control, GO.
 WE CAN DO THIS.
May you all continue to use the mantra how we have started class every day.
"La Paz. Empieza. Conmigo."
Peace. Begins. With. Me.
I don't think we could ever have imagined how much chaos would be surrounding us, and, how important it is to find that peace within during the chaotic times.
Remember to say this whenever you start to feel overwhelmed, and relax your eyes, your face, your mouth, your shoulders. Just be in the moment NOW, and feel that stress and worry disappear from your body, if even for seconds.

As for the rest of the school year:
It will be different. It will be okay. We all will be flexible. (Life skill: Flexibility!)
My goal for you will continue to be 1% better every day. If you accomplish that, we are GOOD.
GOAL: I CAN increase my proficiency by 1% every day.

I am planning on having a weekly hour "zoom" chat as a class.  I will record it, and post it, for those that are unable to attend during our scheduled class. The Scheduled time will follow the "new" school schedule per Dr. Smith.
I will send out a LINK, and all you have to do is click on that link during our scheduled time. More directions will follow.
Have you created a FREE zoom account yet? I would do that now, if you have not.
I will continue to use the blog as normal, but also Canvas to collect assignments. Don't worry too much about it now! Specific directions will be posted as needed.
We will all be learning this new way of learning.
I have sent this out via Twitter, but also wanted to share here an awesome, fun, yoga teacher who has a series of Yoga for Uncertain Times. I hope you are all remembering that moving your body is essential to reduce stress/anxiety/fear.

Bonus for virtual online learnings:
We will STILL get to see each other, just virtually.
Every day could be like a pajama spirit day!
You will get to see Pablo (el perro) and Eleanor (la gata) live. My girls Maya and Mika may even make an appearance.
You will get to see Profe with no make-up on, just like in the picture below.
We will all GROW into better humans, with bigger hearts, more appreciation for the little things (just like poet Pablo Neruda) and a wider vision of what is important in this world,  because of this experience.

Hasta pronto-
Un fuerte abrazo-

Profe ( y Pablo after a morning run)
